The bushings must be in the holes in the hollow band on the inside of the frame.

Longer lifespan
Bushings also mean that the hollow band on the inside of the frame can last longer as the springs first wear out the bushing.
Feel free to change the bushings when they are about to wear out, so the frame will last for several years.
